Trade rumor’ Ohtani to play fall baseball with LA Angels
Major League Baseball slugger Shohei Ohtani, who is eligible for free agency after this season, will remain with the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim, putting trade speculation behind him. The Angels acquired starting pitcher Lucas Giolito and bullpen arm Renaldo Lopez in a trade with the Chicago White Sox. Shortly before sportstotozone the trade was announced, Sports Illustrated reported that the Angels had decided to keep Ohtani. By not trading Ohtani, the Angels have bolstered their bullpen while continuing to challenge for a postseason berth this season.
