Opening match is Al Ittihad vs Auckland
The draw for the Federation Internationale de Football Association (FIFA) 2023 Club World Cup, which will be held in Saudi Arabia this December, has been finalized.
The draw was made by FIFA on Friday in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, and the opening match will take place on Dec. 13 at 3 p.m. 스포츠토토 between Al Ittihad (Saudi Arabia) and Auckland City (New Zealand).
The Club World Cup brings together the champions of the six continental club competitions and the host nation’s league champions each year to determine the world’s strongest professional soccer teams.
Since the inaugural edition in 2000, when eight teams competed, the tournament has had a seven-team format since 2007.
This year’s tournament will be the last in the seven-team format. The next edition in June 2025 will be a 32-team tournament. The cycle will also be extended to four years, just like the regular World Cup.
The tournament will be held in Jeddah, where Al Ittihad will compete as the Saudi Pro League champions.
Altyhad have bolstered their squad with the addition of world-class French striker Karim Benzema and N’Golo Kante.
In their opening match, 토토 Al Ahli will face the 2023 Oceania Football Confederation (OFC) Champions League winners Auckland.
The winner of that match will face 2022-2023 Confederation of African Football (CAF) Champions League champions Al Ahly SC (Egypt). The winner of that match will play the winner of the South American club competition Copa Libertadores in the quarterfinals (Dec. 19). The South American representative is still to be determined.
Asian Football Confederation (AFC) representatives Urawa Reds (Japan) will take on CONCACAF Champions League winners Clube Leon (Mexico) on December 16.
The winner of that match will host the 2022-2023 UEFA Champions League winner Manchester City (England) in the quarterfinals on Dec. 20.
The Club World Cup final will take place on 스포츠토토링크 Dec. 23 at 3 p.m. at King Abdullah Sports City Stadium in Jeddah.
