GS Caltex, backed by Silva, whistles past Chung Kwan Jang for 3rd straight win…chases down 2nd-place Heungkuk Life

GS Caltex blows the whistle on its third straight win with Silva on its back.

GS Caltex won the Dodram 2023-24 V-League Women’s Championship 3-1 (25-19 22-25 25-23 25-17) in straight sets at Chungmu Gymnasium in Daejeon on Nov. 21.

With the win, GS Caltex extended its winning streak to three games and moved into third place with an 11-6 record (31 points). Silva led the way with 35 points, while Yoo Seo-yeon (14 points) and 온라인카지노 Kang So-hwi (11 points) also contributed.

GS Caltex jumped out to a commanding lead in the first set, with Silva taking the initiative and racking up points as Jung Kwan-jang, whose reception was shaky, made seven errors.

With a 1-0 set lead, GS Caltex couldn’t get over the hump in the second set. With the score tied at 22-22, they were unable to stop Jia’s open attack and conceded two points with a series of errors. Finally, they were blocked by Hansong and lost the second set.

Silva’s awakening in the second set brought GS Caltex back into the game, but a fierce attack from the Mega-Jia duo gave them a 24-23 lead, but Silva won the final point to take the third set.

In the fourth set, GS Caltex turned the tide as Silva’s offensive success rate increased, and Kwanjang’s defense collapsed. With a lead of more than 10 points, Kwanjang lost the will to chase. GS Caltex was able to take the fourth set without any difficulty, sealing the victory.

After winning rounds one and two, GS Caltex took the third round as well, narrowing the gap with second-place Heungkuk Life (36 points).

Jung Kwan-jang, who lost at home while “Ace” Lee So-young was out with an injury, is in fifth place with a 7-10 record (24 points). Strong performances from Jia (21 points) and Mega (19 points) were not enough to prevent the defeat, which was their second straight loss.
