Miami tops League Cup in extra innings

Soccer (MLS) club Inter Miami to its first trophy since its inception. It comes just a month
after he joined the team.
Miami won the 2023 League Cup Final against Nashville SC on Tuesday in Nashville, Tennessee,
with a 10-9 victory on penalties after 120 minutes of 1-1 stoppage time. It was the first time
Miami lifted the trophy since its inception in 2018. The League Cup is a unified cup competition
featuring 29 teams from MLS and 18 teams from Liga MX, the Mexican league, and Miami is
the first American team to win the title. Messi celebrated the win by hugging English soccer
legend and Miami co-owner David Beckham after the match.
Messi’s goal in the 23rd minute gave Miami the lead before Nashville SC equalized 12 minutes
into the second half. After the teams couldn’t find a winner in extra time, 온라인섯다 they
went to penalty kicks, and it was Miami who had the last laugh. Messi stepped up to take the
first kick of the penalty shootout and rattled the net. Messi, who scored 10 goals in seven
consecutive games from the first round of group play to the final, was named the tournament’s

celebrated by dousing Messi, who won his 44th career title after reaching the top of the tournament.
As of Oct. 20, Miami has five wins, three draws and 14 losses (18 points) and sits in last place among
